Dibrugarh (Assam), 31 August (HS): A Tata AC vehicle lost control and skidded into a roadside ditch in Tinkhang on Sunday, leaving several passengers seriously injured.

The mishap took place at Uttampur village while the vehicle, bearing registration number AS-06C-6121, was en route from Latumoni in Tinkhang to Umatarah Tea Garden for Mansa Puja. At least 20 men and women were on board at the time of the accident.

Locals rushed the injured to a nearby Primary Health Centre for immediate treatment. One of the passengers, identified as Phulamii Murha, sustained severe injuries and was later referred to Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh, for advanced medical care.
