Mirzapur, 31 Aug (HS): Union Minister of State and
MP of the district Anupriya Patel reached Bhiskuri Sports Stadium on Sunday.
She participated in the National Sports Day program being celebrated to mark
the birth anniversary of Hockey Magician Padma Bhushan Major Dhyan Chand. To
encourage the players, Minister Anupriya Patel flagged off the cycle rally
organized under Sadbhavana and Fit India. This rally started from the stadium
and concluded till the PAC gate.
On this occasion,
the Union Minister said that National Sports Day is celebrated on August 29. “The
Prime Minister has given the mantra of fitness to the countrymen on Sports Day
and has appealed that every person should cycle at least once a week. He said
that sports or any kind of physical activity should be made a part of life, so
that people can remain physically and mentally healthy,” she remarked.

appealed to the people of the district to adopt some physical activity in their
daily life so that they can remain stress-free, healthy and happy. There was
enthusiastic participation of children and the elderly in the cycle rally.
Everyone gave the message of awareness towards sports and fitness. On this
occasion, many officials including Apna Dal (S) District President Engineer Ram
Lautan Bind, District Magistrate Pawan Kumar Gangwar, Anand Singh Patel,
Durgesh Patel, Namita Kesarwani, Pinky Singh, Kumari Neelam Patel, Kuldeep
Patel, Durga Prasad Kesarwani, Harshit Patel, Sone Lal Patel, Arif Ali Mansuri,
Ishtiyak Mansuri were present.
