Hamirpur, 31 Aug (HS): Police stated on Sunday
that three persons were killed and two others were injured in separate road
crash incidents here. On Saturday night, two individuals perished in a head-on
accident with two motorbikes on the Bundelkhand Expressway's service lane. The
deceased were Ravi Nishad (30) and Sunny (20), both of whom lived in the Chiksi
police station area. Two others, Bhagat Singh (22) and Abhay (12), were injured
and treated at the Rath Community Health Centre. Santosh Kumar, Station House
Officer (SHO) of Chiksi police station, said that the remains had been
submitted for a postmortem.
In another incident on National Highway 34, a motorcyclist was killed after
being hit by an unidentified car. The collision occurred Saturday night at the
Baherela turn in the Maudaha region. The victim, Upendra (35) was hit by an
unidentified car. He was transferred to the Maudaha Community Health Center by
ambulance but died while receiving treatment.
Umesh Singh, SHO of Maudaha Police Station, stated that the corpse has been
sent for postmortem, and that police are utilizing CCTV video to find the car.
