Goalpara (Assam), 31 August (HS): A fire broke out at Dudhnoi Girls Higher Secondary School late last night, leading to the recovery of a charred body from the debris this morning.

Locals first noticed the remains inside the burnt structure and immediately informed the authorities. Police reached the spot and retrieved the body, which is yet to be formally identified.

Preliminary suspicion suggests that the deceased may be Vivekanand Rabha, a temporary worker employed at the school. Further investigation is underway.------
