Golaghat (Assam), 26 August (HS): A tragic incident occurred in Khowang when a man went missing after being electrocuted on the railway bridge over the Burhidihing River, official sources confirmed on Tuesday.

The missing person has been identified as Bhakti Chetiya, a resident of Chenimari village in Khowang. He had reportedly gone to the bridge with friends when he accidentally came in contact with a live wire. The electric shock threw him into the river with a loud noise.

It is suspected that Chetiya had climbed onto the parapet of the bridge before the mishap. Local authorities, including Khowang police, are present at the site and have launched a search operation.-------
