New Delhi, August 26 (HS): The domestic bullion market witnessed a declining trend today, with both gold and silver prices slipping across major cities. Amid weak trade sentiment, 24-carat gold is being sold in the range of ₹1,00,800 to ₹1,00,900 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold is trading between ₹93,600 and ₹93,700 per 10 grams. Silver prices too have tumbled, with the glittering metal quoted at ₹1,20,000 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.

In the national capital, 24-carat gold stands at ₹1,00,900 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold is priced at ₹93,700 per 10 grams. Mumbai recorded marginally lower prices, with 24-carat gold at ₹1,00,800 and 22-carat gold at ₹93,600 per 10 grams. In Ahmedabad, 24-carat gold is retailing at ₹1,00,850 per 10 grams and 22-carat at ₹93,650 per 10 grams.

Other metro cities followed the same weak trend. Chennai and Kolkata quoted 24-carat gold at ₹1,00,800 and 22-carat gold at ₹93,600 per 10 grams. In Lucknow and Jaipur, the yellow metal was priced slightly higher at ₹1,00,900 (24-carat) and ₹93,700 (22-carat) per 10 grams. Meanwhile, Patna reported 24-carat gold at ₹1,00,850 and 22-carat at ₹93,650 per 10 grams.

The pressure was equally visible in southern and eastern markets. In Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar, 24-carat gold was quoted at ₹1,00,800 per 10 grams, while 22-carat held steady at ₹93,600.

Analysts suggest that the dip reflects global cues of softening gold demand and a parallel decline in silver’s industrial outlook, prompting a subdued mood in India’s bullion trade.
