Golaghat (Assam), 26 August (HS): An eviction drive in Rengma Protected Forest began on Tuesday. The drive is being carried out in Hattidubi Ranangar and Madhupur No.1 areas, starting from Hattidubi.

Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that no one is allowed to reside on government or forest land and such areas must be vacated. While eviction drive are being conducted across the state, opposition parties have launched protests opposing the move.--------
