Chennai, 26 August (H.S.) : The Chennai Metro will operate on a Saturday schedule on Tuesday, August 27, due to the Raksha Bandhan holiday. As August 26 is considered Raksha Bandhan holiday eve for most of the government and private offices and also for schools and colleges, Metro services will follow the Saturday timings on the third working day of the week.

The Chennai Metro Rail Limited has announced that the metro services will operate according to the Saturday schedule on Tuesday. Passengers are advised to plan their journey accordingly and check the timings before heading to the metro station.

The Chennai Metro Rail Limited has made special arrangements to handle the increased passenger traffic on August 27. Additional security personnel and staff will be deployed at all metro stations to ensure smooth operations.
