South Salmara (Assam), 26 August (HS): Six Bangladeshi nationals were arrested last night during a joint operation by police and Border Security Force (BSF) in the Manakachar area of South Salmara-Manakachar district.

According to officials, the arrested individuals had illegally crossed into Indian territory. They have been identified as Farukh Ahmed (25), Abeat Akhtar (21), Mohammad Rabbi (16), Mohammad Jewel (23), Minha Akhtar and Minhazul Islam.

Police informed that after completing legal formalities, all six were sent back to Bangladesh. Security forces have intensified surveillance along the international border to prevent further infiltration attempts.---------
