Tinsukia (Assam), 25 August (HS): A tragic accident on National Highway-38 near Siddhapul of North East Dhaba in the Digboi Tingrai area claimed the life of a scooty rider. The accident occurred when the scooty collided head-on with a four-wheeler (AS-03AE-9128).

The deceased has been identified as Bharat Gogoi, a resident of Digboi Bapapung. He was employed as a driver, transporting cooking gas to the Goponari bottling plant in Digboi.

According to police, Gogoi suffered severe injuries, losing a hand and a leg in the collision, and killed on the spot. Digboi police recovered the body and sent it for postmortem. An FIR has been registered in connection with the incident.
