Kolkata, 25 August (H.S.): A major traffic disruption was reported in North Kolkata’s Maniktala area on Monday morning after a minibus rammed into several vehicles, police said.

The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m., leaving at least two cars, a taxi, and a motorcycle partially damaged. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The mishap triggered heavy congestion on the busy stretch, particularly affecting office-goers on the first working day of the week.

According to police, the driver of the bus fled the spot immediately after the accident. The damaged vehicles were later towed away to ease the traffic flow.

Preliminary investigation suggests that a brake failure may have caused the accident, officials said.
