Bulandshahr, 25 Aug (HS): The death toll in the
road accident in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh has reached nine. 20
people have been discharged from different hospitals and 10 people have been
sent to Aligarh for treatment. Two people are admitted in the ICU and the rest are
undergoing treatment. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed his
condolences on this incident and announced financial assistance of Rs. 2 lakh and
and Rs. 50, 000 each to the families of the deceased and injured respectively.
Senior
Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dinesh Kumar Singh said that an accident
occurred at around 2:15 am in Rania police station area near Aligarh border on
NH 34. 61 people were going to visit Jaharpeer in Hanuman district of Rajasthan
in a double decker tractor trolley from Rafatpur village of Soro police station
area of Kasganj. These people told that they have been going there for many
years. When all of them were going at night, a canter hit them from behind, due
to which the tractor trolley overturned and all the people in it got injured.
On receiving the
information, the injured were rescued by the forces of several police stations,
PRV and ambulances and admitted to Rania, Khurja and Kailash Hospital for
treatment. Eight people died here. The remaining injured were referred to the
district hospital and 10 people to the medical college in Aligarh. Other people
were being treated at Kailash Hospital. During this, a person named Lekhraj
also died. In this way, nine people have lost their lives. 20 people have also
been discharged from Aligarh and Kailash Hospital. The condition of the rest is
normal and they are undergoing treatment. Panchnama of nine people is being
filled and post-mortem of the dead bodies is being done. Police is
investigating by taking the vehicles involved in the incident into custody.

Magistrate Shruti said that nine people have died in a road accident in Rania
police station area. All these people are residents of Kasganj, who were going
to a religious place in Rajasthan sitting in a tractor trolley. Then a vehicle
hit them. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the incident
and expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased. Along with this,
he has announced financial assistance of two lakh rupees each to the families
of the deceased and 50 thousand rupees each to the seriously injured. The DM
said that the injured are being provided better treatment under the supervision
of the administration.
