Lucknow, 25 Aug (HS): Group Captain Shubhanshu
Shukla, who waved the tricolour at the International Space Centre as the
mission pilot of Axiom Mission 4, was greeted warmly when he arrived in Lucknow
on Monday. A roadshow was organized from the airport to the City Montessori School
(CMS) at Gomtinagar Extension. At Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport,
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak and Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharkwal welcomed
him. Many schoolchildren and supporters greeted him at the airport. Students
stood on both sides of the road, holding the tricolor, to greet Shubhanshu. Despite the rain, there was no lack in the enthusiasm of
the students.
Shubhanshu
enthralled the pupils at CMS in Gomtinagar Extension, saying, I have a
very different feeling today. I am appreciative for what you have done.
He remarked I'm not as talented as you. You will make significant improvements
in the future as well. Shubhanshu stated, I have been working for the last
year. I was presented with the perfect opportunity at the appropriate moment.
No one asked me what I was doing at the station. Everyone wanted to know how I
got to be an astronaut. I am overjoyed; I received several surprises. Lucknow
is my home, and I am thrilled to be here.
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak told reporters that
I am feeling proud to welcome astronaut and pride of our country Shubhanshu
Shukla. Today is a very special and important day for Uttar Pradesh. He is
always a source of inspiration for today's young generation and the coming
