Mumbai,
25 Aug (HS): BJP MLA Amit Satam has been
appointed the party’s Mumbai unit president, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced
at a press conference on Monday. Outgoing President Ashish Shelar, whose
term expired. Maharashtra Unit President Ravindra Chavan and others were
present.
Fadnavis
said that Shelar handled the post effectively after he took over from Mangal
Prabhat Lodha.
Satam got
elected as MLA for the third time. He was also a corporator and is a well-studied politician who understands Mumbai’s politics very well. BJP will
continue with its progress under his leadership, as the municipal elections are
due. Fadnavis extended him best wishes.
