“NSA to be slapped on 3 accused printing & supplying counterfeit currency”

Sadar Bazar, Kutubsher Police Station and Surveillance Team have achieved a

great success. On Saturday night, police teams have arrested three members of

an interstate gang printing fake notes. Counterfeit currency worth Rs 2.59 lakh

has also been recovered from their possession. The accused have also been found

with fake note printing equipment. The accused used to sell fake notes at half

the price. Their network is spread across many states. Police has already

arrested two accused who bought fake notes from accused and sent them to jail.

SP City Vyom Bindal told in a press conference that on the basis of information,

Kotwali Sadar Bazar, Kutubsher Police Station and Surveillance Team have

arrested the accused from the vacant railway quarters on the road in front of Loco

Pilot Training Center in Sadar Bazar area.

During interrogation, the

accused revealed their names as Shashi alias Sarvesh alias Rahul Gupta son of

Ram Vilas Vishwakarma resident of village Nagelinpur Patara Patra district

Kanpur, Naveen Paswan son of Anil Paswan resident of Mukul Dwar Belpar police

station Bhadalganj district Gorakhpur, Karanveer son of Baljeet Kumar resident

of Gillaur police station Radaur district Yamunanagar Haryana. Fake notes worth

Rs 2.59 lakh have been recovered from the accused. All the notes are of Rs 500

each. Apart from this, six mobile phones, two laptops, printer, photo cutter,

laptop charger, 72 blank sheets of high quality, six Aadhar cards, purse, bike,

bulb and electric wires have been recovered. The accused is an interstate

criminal. Two days ago, Kotwali Sadar Bazar police arrested Vansh and Rupal,

residents of Gurudwara Road, from whom fake notes worth five thousand rupees

were recovered. The accused had bought fake notes from them at half the price.

On this basis, the police have been able to reach the main accused. The network

is spread in Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand and West UP, Saharanpur.

SP City Vyom Bindal said

that the network of the accused is spread across many districts including

Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, West UP districts Muzaffarnagar, Meerut,

Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr. Investigation has revealed that the accused have

supplied fake notes to people in these states and districts as well. Many other

people may also be involved in their gang. The police has started an in-depth

investigation in this regard. SSP Ashish Tiwari has deployed three police teams

to search for the accused's accomplices.

SP City Vyom Bindal said

that gangster action will also be taken against the accused. Along with this,

the police team that arrested the accused will also be given a reward. Other

people may also be involved in the gang of the accused; on this basis also the

police investigation is moving forward.

The accused had made pages

on Instagram and Facebook, where they used to advertise to give notes at half

the price. The accused had linked only selected people to their account. The

accused used to lure people by saying that they will provide ten thousand

rupees notes in exchange of five thousand rupees. The accused used to deceive

that these notes may be old and slightly torn. When some people contacted them,

they provided completely blank notes, but they used to do misleading publicity

on social media. These notes were fake, the two accused who have been sent to

jail by the police two days ago, had also come in contact with the accused

through social media. High quality sheets have been recovered from the accused,

which the accused used to order on the website and app of a foreign company. In

return, the accused used to deposit money online as well. The accused had

scanned the original 500 rupee note in the laptop. On the basis of this, the

accused used to print fake notes by changing the previous numbers of the series

number of the note through Photoshop on high quality sheets. After this, the

accused used to cut the notes, make bundles and supply them to trapped

customers.
