Ghaziabad, 24 Aug (HS): In
Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh, a history-sheeter criminal hit a traffic
policeman managing traffic on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway with an Artica. He
was seriously injured in the accident. He was immediately admitted to Manipal
Hospital for treatment, where he died on Sunday. A video of the incident also
surfaced on Sunday.
There is mourning in
Ghaziabad Police after the death of the policeman. Police has sent the body of
the policeman for postmortem and has arrested the history-sheeter and one of
his accomplices who carried out the incident.
ADCP (Traffic)
Sachchidanand Kushwaha said that this incident happened on 22nd August around 6
pm. Vipin (31) was managing the police in front of IPEM College on Delhi Meerut
Expressway. Meanwhile, a youth riding an Artica car hit him while crossing the
line. The collision was so severe that the policeman flung 10 meters up and
fell 100 meters away. He suffered serious injuries. He was admitted to Manipal
Hospital, where he died on Sunday.
Vipin was a resident of
Vimal Nagar in Khurja. He got married in 2015 and joined the police service in
2016. He has three children. One of them is 5 years old while the other is a
son and a daughter who are 8-year-old twins. Cops claimed that the person
driving the Ertiga car is a history-sheeter criminal. His name is Vineet and
his aide has been arrested.
In response, police
apprehended two offenders and filed a FIR at Vijayanagar police station in the
aforementioned case, seizing the automobile involved in the collision. Further legal processes are underway in
connection with the event, according to a post on X by the Deputy Commissioner
of Police Ghaziabad.
