South 24 Parganas, August 24 (HS) A 24-year-old man killed his wife on suspicion of extramarital affair and then committed suicide at Taldi Byarsingh village of Canning in South 24 Parganas district.

According to local sources, They were married three years ago, but for the last one year, the relationship between the husband and wife worsened. The husband wife were often heard quarrelling. On Sunday early morning the husband strangled his wife to death and also committed suicide by hanging himself.

On Sunday morning, the family recovered the dead bodies from the house. Nazir Molla was found hanging from a noose in the house. At the same time, the body of his wife Rinki Molla was found lying on the bed. The family took both of them to Canning Government Hospital, where doctors declared them dead. On information, the police from Canning police station recovered both the bodies and sent them for post-mortem. The police have launched an investigation into the matter.
