Kamrup (Assam), 24 August (HS): In a swift operation, Tulsi Bari police outpost in Kamrup district arrested four members of a suspected robbery gang. Police informed media on Sunday that acting on a tip-off, the team led by Officer-in-Charge Devashish Sonowal apprehended the accused near Tulsi Bari Eidgah ground.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Jaheruddin Ali, Mahiruddin Ali, Jahidul Islam and Azizur Ali, all hailing from Kachimpur in Nalbari district. Police recovered two toy pistols and three motorcycles from their possession.

According to officials, the gang was allegedly planning to carry out robberies in Tulsi Bari and nearby areas. The police have launched further interrogation to trace their network and possible past crimes.
