Gorakhpur, 24 Aug (HS): Yogi

Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, opines that this is the

wonderful history of the Sikh religion. “It is our obligation to demonstrate

thanks towards those individuals who lost their life not for themselves, but

for the country, for Sanatan Dharma, for Kashmir, for the country, and we

should also express gratitude toward the tradition of those Sikh Gurus.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid a visit to the Gurudwara Shri

Guru Singh Sabha in Paidleganj Gorakhpur. He launched tourist development

efforts here. Ravi Kishan, the Gorakhpur BJP MP, is also present.

“Hearty congratulations to

all Sikh brothers, devotees and residents of the state on the occasion of

Prakash Parv of 'Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji'! This divine book illuminated by

Chief Minister Yogi

Adityanath said that Sikh Gurus sacrificed themselves for India, Indianness and

Sanatan Dharma. Whenever Sanatan Dharma faced a crisis, these Gurus did not

hesitate to sacrifice themselves. The Chief Minister was inaugurating the

beautification work done by the state government at Padleganj Gurudwara on

Sunday on the occasion of Prakash Parv of Guru Granth Sahib at a cost of Rs

2.34 crore. He said that only that caste survives in history which makes the fearlessness,

contribution and valour of its ancestors a part of its life. The basis of the

progress of Sikhs is also the immense devotion towards the Guru tradition.

While wishing the people of the entire country, he said that this year is the

350th year of the sacrifice of Guru Teg Bahadur; programs are being organized

in the honor of the Guru across the country and the world. Recently, Kirtan was

held at the Chief Minister's residence and after this, the group reached

Sheeshganj Gurudwara in Delhi while performing Kirtan. Kirtan was also

organized at the Chief Minister's residence on the 550th Prakash Parv of Guru

Nanak Dev. Sikh brothers have been demanding for a long time that a date be

declared on the martyrdom day of four Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh.

Honouring them, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared 26 December as Veer Bal

Diwas. When we work with one voice, its results are also visible. It was said

that Guru Gobind Singh had four Sahibzadas. The first and second Sahibzadas

were killed in the war. The third and fourth Sahibzadas were imprisoned by the

evil Aurangzeb. They were lured that they will get the kingdom and their lives

will also be spared. But those children did not accept it. They said what we

will do with it. When both the children were being bricked into the wall, tears

came to the eyes of the elder child. The younger one asked why you are crying.

The elder one said that I came to this world first and you are going. I should

have gone first. They sacrificed themselves but did not bow down in front of

the heretics. This is the glorious history of the Sikhs. They sacrificed not

for themselves but for the country and Sanatan Dharma. Today it is the duty of

all of us to express our respect towards those Sikh Gurus. The government has

beautified the three Gurudwaras of the city, Jatashankar, Mohaddipur and

Padleganj. This is respect and admiration towards the Sikh Guru tradition.

Before this, the Chief Minister was honored by presenting a shawl and a

memento. MLC Dharmendra Singh and MP Ravi Kishan Shukla also addressed. The

program was conducted by Jagnain Singh Neetu.
