Gayaji/New Delhi, Aug 22 (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched a sharp attack on the Congress, RJD, and Left parties during a political rally in Gaya, Bihar, accusing them of indulging in vote-bank politics by appeasing infiltrators. He asserted firmly that the NDA government will not allow the rights of the people of Bihar to be taken away by outsiders.
The Prime Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth over ₹13,000 crore in the state. Bihar Governor Arif Mohammed Khan and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar were present on the occasion.
Touching upon the sensitive issue of changing demographics in border districts, PM Modi said his government was working systematically through the proposed Demographic Mission, under which infiltrators would be identified and expelled. “No infiltrator will be allowed to loot the rights of the people,” he declared.
Highlighting the constitutional amendment bill tabled in Parliament, he explained that any chief minister, minister, or even the prime minister charged with corruption would now have to secure bail within 30 days. Failure to do so would mean vacating office from the 31st day. “This law has shaken corrupt leaders who are now opposing it. But the NDA stands for accountability and transparency,”PM Modi said, claiming that in the NDA’s 11 years in power, no corruption scam has emerged, unlike the Congress rule which, he alleged, was marked by decades of scams.
Referring to Operation Sindoor, PM Modi said it had drawn a new line in India’s defence policy and proved that terrorists can no longer spread terror with impunity.
Contrasting the NDA rule with the “lantern era” under the RJD, he said Bihar once suffered from “red terror,” forcing generations to migrate, but today the state was witnessing multi-sectoral growth.
On the Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, Modi announced special incentives for the youth: fresher recruits in the private sector would get a direct grant of ₹15,000 from the central government, while companies hiring them would also receive incentives. “This will particularly benefit Bihar’s young workforce,” he said.
PM Modi also elaborated on massive infrastructure investments worth ₹12,000 crore unveiled from Gaya in a single day, covering energy, health, and urban development, aimed at empowering industries and creating new jobs.
Speaking about the PM Awas Yojana, he reiterated his pledge of ensuring pucca houses for every needy family. “Until every poor household gets a permanent roof, Modi will not rest,” he said, noting that over 4 crore homes had already been built for the underprivileged over the past decade.
