Lakhimpur (Assam), 22 August (HS): Panic has gripped Nawbichat in Lakhimpur district as a tiger has been roaming freely around Chmuwa and Dorongia villages for the past two days.

Residents were left shocked after the tiger was spotted near Dorongia LP School. A forest ranger team rushed to the area on Thursday, but nightfall prevented them from capturing the animal.

Authorities have assured villagers that a fresh operation to capture the tiger will be carried out on Friday.-------
