Odisha Vigilance Raids Senior Assistant in Cuttack for Alleged Misappropriation of ₹1.24 Crore


Bhubaneswar, 22 August (H.S.): Odisha Vigilance on Friday launched simultaneous raids at five locations linked to Kishore Kumar Sahani, Senior Assistant of City Hospital (O/o CDMO), Cuttack, on charges of large-scale misappropriation of government funds and possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

According to Vigilance sources, Sahani is alleged to have misappropriated over ₹1.24 crore of government funds during his tenure. Investigators also suspect that he amassed assets far beyond his legitimate income, prompting a large-scale search operation.

The operation is being conducted by a team comprising 9 DSPs, 10 Inspectors, 7 ASIs, and other supporting staff on the strength of search warrants issued by the Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack.

Searches are being carried out at a triple-storeyed residential building of Sri Sahani at Jobra Nuasahi in Cuttack, another building and poultry farm at Palasia in Choudwar, his office room at O/o CDMO Cuttack, his in-law’s house at Deula Sahi in Tulsipur, and his paternal house at Uttarakula under Kishorenagar police limits.
