Jhansi, 22 Aug (HS): During wee hours, a joint team of SWAT,

surveillance and Thana Todi Fatehpur police succeeded in arresting the accused,

who was wanted in the blind murder of a woman and had a bounty of Rs. 25,000 on

his head. He was injured in an encounter. An illegal pistol, empty cartridges

and a motorcycle were recovered from his possession.

SP Rural Dr. Arvind Kumar told that in Todi-Fatehpur police

station, the mutilated body of a woman from Madhya Pradesh was cut into 7

pieces and dumped at different places. Revealing the blind murder case, the

deceased's lover, former head and his nephew were arrested on Thursday and the

case was solved. Police was searching for the third wanted person. Late night,

wanted accused Pradeep alias Deepak Ahirwar resident of Pasaura police station

Garautha was arrested in a police encounter during checking in front of the

petrol pump located near village Dugara in Todi-Fatehpur police station area.

Accused Pradeep alias Deepak was injured by bullet in the police encounter. He

has been sent to the hospital for treatment.

He informed that earlier accused Sanjay Patel son of Ramswaroop

resident of village Maheva police station Todi-Fatehpur and Sandeep Patel son

of Santram village Maheva police station Todi-Fatehpur have been arrested and

sent to jail. Accused Pradeep alias Deepak Ahirwar was absconding. A reward of

25 thousand rupees was declared on him. Police have recovered 01 pistol 315

bore live and empty cartridges, motorcycle without number and 2 mobiles from

him. On his information, police has also recovered the axe used in the

incident.
