Kochi, 22 August(HS): Till this moment, neither the Congress nor the other Opposition parties have given any complaint to the Election Commission of India regarding Vote Theft (vote Chori) alleged to have been committed in the elections, said Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday.

Addressing a conclave organized at Kochi by the Kandathil family, an orthodox Christian household which has not made a secret of its hatred for the Hindus in general and the BJP-Sangh Parivar in particular, the union minister said in unequivocal terms the Congress’ target of winning Bihar assembly election by creating a smokescreen of vote chori anss SIT would not help it to win election.

Amit Shah asked where the morality of the Congress, which was vehemently opposing the introduction of the legislation, making it mandatory to remove the top political leadership from the Constitutional positions if they are arrested and imprisoned for more than 30 days on charges of corruption and misuse of official positions.

Referring to the arrest and subsequent bail of two Christian nuns from Kerala who were engaged in full-time proselytisation in Chhattisgarh, the home minister assured the minorities in the country not to be apprehensive of such incidents.

“Minority community members and their institutions are fully safe in all States ruled by the BJP-led NDA,” Amit Shah pointed out with facts and figures.
