Itanagar, 22 August (HS): Displaying exceptional courage and compassion, troops of the Gajraj Corps of the Indian Army carried out a daring rescue operation in the remote RR Hill region of Arunachal Pradesh during the late hours of August 20/21.
According to reports, a police personnel from Bomdila Police Station had sustained a severe head injury, including a skull fracture. Acting swiftly upon receiving the information, the Army team navigated through dense forests and challenging terrain at night to reach the injured personnel. After administering first aid on site, the soldier was evacuated safely to Tezpur for advanced medical treatment.
This prompt and coordinated humanitarian effort not only saved a life but also highlighted the spirit of cooperation between the Army, Police, and Civil Administration. The incident reflects the Indian Army’s ethos of “Seva Parmo Dharmah,” where bravery, compassion, and commitment to humanity remain paramount.
