Itanagar, 22 August (HS): In a major step towards strengthening Civil–Military Fusion, Dao Division of the Indian Army has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bharti Airtel Pvt Ltd to enhance mobile communication infrastructure in the forward areas of Dibang and Dau Delai Valleys.
The initiative aims to bridge the digital divide in these strategically vital yet geographically remote regions. With improved cellular network coverage, both the local population and deployed troops will benefit from reliable communication facilities.
The challenging terrain of Dibang and Dau Delai Valleys has long hindered connectivity. This joint effort reflects the commitment to overcome infrastructural barriers, extend modern services to local residents and strengthen operational communication for the Armed Forces.
Officials from Bharti Airtel reiterated their commitment to expand digital connectivity to India’s remotest corners, in line with the Digital India vision.
The partnership is expected to not only bolster security and communication for troops but also empower communities through better access to education, healthcare, e-governance and entrepreneurship.
This MoU highlights the growing synergy between the Armed Forces and corporate India in advancing inclusive development and national security.
