Lakhimpur (Assam), 22 August (HS): In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Bandardewa police seized a large quantity of narcotics along with arresting a supplier in Lakhimpur. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Officer Bahadur Thapa of Bandardewa Police Station, PS incharge informed on Friday.

According to police, a secret operation was busted on Thursday near Shankardev College in Pathakhuli. During the raid, 26-year-old Bikash Dutta, son of Kshirad Dutta from 2nd Pithaguri under Narayanpur revenue circle, was apprehended on National Highway 15. Authorities recovered 50 drug-filled containers from his possession.---------
