Kolkata, 22 August (H.S.): The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) 2025 results were finally declared on Friday, ending a prolonged wait of 117 days. The exam, conducted on April 27 this year, had its results delayed repeatedly due to legal complications surrounding OBC reservation. The outcome was eventually published within hours of the Supreme Court’s directive.
WBJEE serves as the gateway for admissions into government and private engineering colleges across West Bengal. This year’s merit list once again highlighted the dominance of Kolkata-based schools, with several city students securing top ranks.

CM Congratulates Students
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee congratulated the successful candidates and extended her support to those who could not make it. In a social media message, she wrote: “Due to legal complications, the declaration of results was delayed this year. But I believe all students will overcome these challenges and achieve greater success in the future, bringing glory to Bengal.”
With results finally out, the counseling and admission process is expected to begin shortly, bringing relief to thousands of aspiring engineering students across the state.
