Solapur, 21 Aug (HS): Two people died in a head-on

collision between two cars under the Yavat Police Station’s jurisdiction on the Pune-Solapur national highway. The accident occurred as one of the cars was

being driven, violating the traffic rules.

Rakesh Bhosale was driving his Swift Car carelessly

on the highway when a Swift Desire moving towards Urali hit it. Dnyanaehwar

Thorbole (50), a resident of Urli Kanchan, Haveli Tehsil in Pune district, and

Ganesh Dorge (28) of Yavat in Dound Tehsil of Pune district died in the

accident. Five others were injured and have been shifted to a private

hospital.

Yavat police rushed to the site and helped the

injured. An offence against the accused has been registered.
