to authorities, a lady has filed a police complaint stating that her husband

and in-laws harassed and tortured her for dowry and demanded that she maintain

a physique similar to Bollywood star Nora Fatehi's. The woman also accused her

in-laws of pushing her to take an abortion pill, which she said resulted in a

miscarriage.

A woman who was married six months ago said that her family spent more than Rs

76 lakh on the wedding. Despite this, her husband, a physical education teacher

at a government school, reportedly body-shamed her, calling her fat and

unattractive. Her husband and in-laws reportedly insisted that she work out for

three hours every day and threatened to deny her food if she did not comply.

She also accused her spouse of physical violence.

Assistant Commissioner of Police

Saloni Agarwal stated that a complaint had been lodged at the women's police

station. The complainant claimed her husband and in-laws harassed her in

a variety of ways, the officer stated on Thursday.

The woman stated that her spouse had specific expectations and reportedly

pressured her to work out. She also claimed that her in-laws did not offer her

meals on time. An FIR has been filed in response to this allegation, and

additional investigations are now underway. The complainant stated that her

spouse would urge her that she should be like Nora Fatehi and have a physique

like hers, the officer noted. The woman also claimed that her spouse was a

womaniser who would view indecent films of women online.
