Hooghly, 21 August (H.S.) The police has got a big success in the theft case that took place at the house of famous former swimmer and Padma Shri awardee Bula Choudhary in Hindmotor on the night of Independence Day. The thieves had stolen the medals earned by Bula Choudhary's lifelong hard work, which included Arjun Award and Padma Shri. Hurt by this incident, Bula Choudhary broke down in tears and expressed her anger at the police and the government.

The investigation team of Chandannagar Police Commissionerate had earlier arrested 19-year-old Krishna Choudhary from Rishra in Hooghly and recovered 295 medals from him. After this, taking the investigation forward, the police arrested Sheikh Samim (21) and Mohammad Chand from Gate No. 4 area of Srirampur. On their information, the police recovered 13 more medals, including a Padma Shri medal.

In this way, a total of 308 medals have been recovered by the police so far. The search for the remaining 1-2 medals is still on. Bula Choudhary looked very emotional and excited after getting her stolen medals back. She praised the work of the police and also thanked Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
