Bhubaneswar, 21 August (H.S.): Odisha Leader of Opposition and BJD president Naveen Patnaik was discharged from a private hospital in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday evening after recovering from dehydration. He had been admitted on August 17 and remained under medical care for three days.
Upon discharge, Patnaik returned to his residence, Naveen Niwas, and expressed gratitude to the people of Odisha for their prayers and support. “I thank all my Odisha brothers and sisters who prayed for me while I was unwell. I am also grateful for the blessings of the people and the excellent care provided by the hospital. I am feeling very well now,” he said.
It may be recalled that Patnaik had undergone a procedure for cervical arthritis on June 22 under the supervision of his personal physician, Dr. Ramakant Panda. Following his recovery, he has urged party supporters to visit him at Naveen Niwas.
