Nagon (Assam), 21 August (HS): Nagon police have arrested the mastermind behind a major trading scam, Anirvan Deori, in a successful operation. He was brought to Nagon Sadar police station early this morning, where he is being interrogated.

According to officials, Deori had been hiding with his family in Faridabad, South Delhi, after fleeing from Guwahati on May 28. A special team of Nagon police tracked him down in the national capital and apprehended him.

Meanwhile, another accused, Kashyap Phukan, has also been arrested from Nagon and brought to the Sadar police station. Both Deori and Phukan are currently being interrogated by senior officers as part of the ongoing investigation.
