Charaideo (Assam), 21 August (HS): A man lost his life after being hit by the Kamrup Express late Wednesday night at Kasaripathar village, located between Barahat and Baruagaon in Charaideo district.

Railway workers spotted the body lying on the tracks and alerted the railway police. The body was later recovered and sent for postmortem.

The deceased remains unidentified. Authorities have kept the body in the morgue of Charaideo District Hospital for 72 hours for identification.
