Delhi’s Seven BJP MPs Blame Opposition Disruptions for Stalling Public Debate in Parliament

New Delhi, August 21 (HS): All seven BJP Members of Parliament from Delhi criticized the Opposition for its “negative and irresponsible” conduct during the Monsoon Session, saying it prevented meaningful debate on crucial public-interest issues.

According to MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, who shared the update via an X post, the session saw the introduction of several key legislations—including the 130th Constitutional Amendment Bill, reforms in income tax, and measures related to online gaming. However, repeated disruptions by the Opposition derailed discussions on matters concerning citizens’ welfare.

The seven MPs—Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Bansuri Swaraj, Harsh Malhotra, Manoj Tiwari, Praveen Khandelwal, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, and Yogendra Chandolia—expressed gratitude towards the government for its pro-people agenda while condemning the Opposition’s conduct. They said they had prepared extensively to raise Delhi-centric concerns, but continuous uproar stalled proceedings.

MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat wrote on X that on the final day of the Monsoon Session, Delhi’s MPs reaffirmed their collective commitment to nation-building under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership, prioritizing “public service above all.” Likewise, Praveen Khandelwal emphasized that the Delhi MPs stand united in serving the people and advancing the goal of a developed India.
