Guwahati, 21 August (HS): The Chirang district unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a meeting on Thursday at the Gorkha Cultural Auditorium premises in Shantipur, Chirang Duar, near the India-Bhutan border, to discuss organizational strategy and future plans.

Following the meeting, a mass joining programme was held under the initiative of the Chirang Duar Mandal, where more than 300 people from various communities formally joined the BJP, expressing faith in the party’s ideology and principles.

Addressing the programme, former MP and BJP Assam General Secretary Pallab Lochan Das said the BJP is committed to inclusive development with the participation of all communities. He urged the new members from other parties to dedicate themselves not only to the development of their respective areas but also to the progress of the state and the nation.

Chirang District President Ratan Chandra Ray, District In-charge Nab Kumar Baisya, Chirang Duar Assembly Observer Ashish Bharali, Mandal President Rajen Bora, along with district and mandal office bearers, as well as leaders of various party fronts, were present on the occasion.
