Nagon (Assam), 21 August (HS): The district administration is set to begin a major eviction drive from August 23, targeting encroached land in Junia, Jengoni and Bolikotiya areas.

According to officials, bulldozers will roll out from 8 AM onwards to clear the illegal occupation. The Dhimgar Revenue Circle had earlier issued eviction notices on July 5 and July 8, asking encroachers to vacate the land.

With the deadline now over, the administration has announced strict action against violators to reclaim government land.
