A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, aiming to create a robust ecosystem for healthcare technology development, validation, and deployment in Odisha.

The MoU envisions the establishment of joint Centres of Excellence (CoEs) focused on healthcare, diagnostics, and digital health, as well as the acceleration of healthcare innovation and attraction of health-tech startups to the state.

The signing ceremony was held in the esteemed presence of Prof. (Dr.) Ashutosh Biswas, Executive Director, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, and Dr. Mrutyunjay Suar, CEO of KIIT-TBI and Chairman of BCKIC Foundation.

In addition to technology development, the MoU will promote skill development, clinical innovation, technology transfer, and incubation support for healthcare startups. A state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence will be established to provide advanced research facilities, diagnostic tools, and structured clinical validation pathways.

The event was also attended by key dignitaries, including Dr. Namrata Misra, CEO, BCKIC & Advisor, KIIT-TBI; Dr. Satyajeet Misra, Dean (Research), AIIMS Bhubaneswar; Dr. Rituparna Maiti, Secretary, MoU Committee, AIIMS Bhubaneswar; Dr. Jayalaxmi Dash, Manager (Tech-Innovation), KIIT-TBI; and Mr. Arpan Ghosh, Manager, BCKIC.
