Sribhumi (Assam), 20 August (HS): Assam Police’s relentless crackdown on narcotics continues. In a late-night operation, police seized Yaba tablets valued at around ₹5 crore and arrested two traffickers in Sribhumi district.
Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma shared the development on social media, stating that acting on intelligence inputs, police launched a raid near Puwamara bypass and recovered approximately 24,900 Yaba tablets.
Police confirmed that the two arrested peddlers are being interrogated to unearth further links in the trafficking network.
