Bhubaneswar, 20 August (H.S.) Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari met with the Union Minister of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Rural Development, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, at his office in Parliament today. During the meeting, Minister Pujari briefed the Union Minister on the ongoing implementation of the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme (DILRMP) in Odisha.
He submitted a detailed project proposal seeking central assistance of ₹984 crore to accelerate the digitisation process, including the survey and geo-referencing of cadastral maps across the state. The proposal also includes a request for necessary technical support from the Government of India to ensure the timely and effective execution of the initiative.
Minister Pujari emphasized that the project is critical to enhancing transparency, efficiency, and ease of access in land governance, especially benefiting farmers and rural communities.
