Bhubaneswar, 20 August (H.S.)Union Minister for Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of renowned Sambalpuri playwright, poet, and writer Padma Shri Binod Kumar Pashayat.

In his condolence message, Mr. Pradhan said, “I am deeply saddened and heartbroken to hear about the passing of Padma Shri Binod Kumar Pashayat. For decades, he made invaluable contributions to Sambalpuri literature and music, enriching the cultural fabric of Odisha and bringing pride to the state.”

He further stated that “Pashayat ji was a silent devotee of literature who elevated Sambalpuri writing to new heights. His contributions to the literary world will be remembered forever.”

The Minister also offered prayers for the departed soul and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. “May Mahaprabhu grant the grieving family strength and courage in this difficult time,” he added.
