Chennai, 20 August (H.S.) : The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has invited bids for the construction of a six-lane elevated corridor between Maduravoyal and Poonamallee in Chennai. The project aims to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion on this critical stretch.
The elevated corridor is expected to significantly ease commute for thousands of daily travelers between these areas. By providing a dedicated flyover, the project will help in reducing travel time and enhancing overall road safety.
The project, which is part of the Bharatmala Pariyojana, involves the development of a high-quality infrastructure to facilitate smooth movement of traffic. The NHAI is looking to award the contract to a bidder with experience in executing complex highway projects.
The tender process is underway, and interested parties have been invited to submit their bids. Upon completion, the six-lane elevated corridor is expected to transform the traffic dynamics in this corridor, providing relief to commuters and boosting economic activity in the region.
