Aizawl (Mizoram), 20 August (HS): Assam Rifles achieved a major success in their anti-narcotics drive in Mizoram with a massive drug seizure. Acting on intelligence inputs, the force conducted an operation at the Jokhawthar crossing point area, where they recovered 70,000 Yaba tablets and methamphetamine tablets.

The consignment weighed 6.86 kilograms and its estimated value in the international market stands at around ₹21 crore. Following the seizure, the recovered drugs were handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Aizawl for further legal action.

No arrests have been reported in connection with the case so far.
