Kolkata, 20 August (H.S.): Trinamool Congress leader in Lok Sabha Abhishek Banerjee has strongly attacked the central government. Releasing a post on the social media platform X on Wednesday, he described the government as dictatorial in nature and said that the BJP has completely failed to protect the interests of the public, farmers and the poor.

Abhishek Banerjee wrote that the central government, despite the support of the entire opposition and the people of the country, is not showing the courage to take back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. He said, The Union Government, despite having the support of the Opposition parties and the entire nation, still lacks the courage to reclaim PoJK. It beats its chest with hollow rhetoric, but when it comes to defending India’s sovereignty, protecting our borders and acting firmly against our enemies, it shows no real resolve.

He further alleged that the government is engaged in gaining power, money and control, while failing to fulfill constitutional obligations. He termed the proposed Constitutional Amendment Bill as a black law and said that this would be a blow to democracy.

The TMC leader also said that after failing through the Election Commission, the government is now misusing the Enforcement Directorate to target opposition leaders, topple state governments and distort the mandate.

She described the BJP government as anti-people, anti-farmer, anti-poor, anti-SC-ST-OBC, against the federal structure and above all anti-national.

In her scathing statement, Banerjee said, One vote to the BJP is nothing less than SELLING THE SOUL OF INDIA. It is selling the Constitution of our country and allowing INDIA to be run as private property in the hands of INCOMPETENT OBSESSIVE TYRANTS!

The INDIA built on the ideals of GANDHI and AMBEDKAR will not surrender its soul to dictators and power-hungry rulers.
