New Delhi, August 20 (H.S.) : A shocking incident unfolded on Wednesday Morning when Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was attacked during a public grievance hearing at her residence in Civil Lines. The assailant, posing as a complainant, suddenly lunged at the Chief Minister during the ongoing Jan Sunwai.

Swift security action ensured the accused was overpowered and immediately taken into custody by police, who later shifted him to Civil Lines police station for questioning. Authorities have tightened security around the Chief Minister in the aftermath of the attack.

Senior BJP leaders strongly condemned the incident, demanding strict action against the perpetrator. Police officials confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine the motive behind the assault.
