New Delhi, August 17 (H.S.) : A consistent downward trend in gold prices has been observed in domestic bullion markets for the sixth consecutive day. On Sunday, 24-carat gold was trading between ₹1,01,180 and ₹1,01,330 per 10 grams across most markets in the country. Similarly, 22-carat gold was quoted in the range of ₹92,750 to ₹92,900 per 10 grams.
In contrast, silver posted a marginal uptick, with Delhi bullion markets recording prices at ₹1,16,200 per kilogram.
On a weekly basis, sharp volatility was seen from Monday to Saturday, resulting in a decline of up to ₹1,860 per 10 grams in 24-carat gold. Prices of 22-carat gold also dropped by as much as ₹1,700 per 10 grams during the same period. Silver witnessed fluctuations as well, ending the week with an overall loss of ₹800 per kilogram.
In Delhi, 24-carat gold traded at ₹1,01,330 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹92,900 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, prices stood at ₹1,01,180 and ₹92,750 per 10 grams for 24-carat and 22-carat gold respectively.
Ahmedabad reported retail prices of ₹1,01,230 for 24-carat gold and ₹92,800 for 22-carat. In Chennai and Kolkata, gold traded at ₹1,01,180 per 10 grams (24-carat) and ₹92,750 per 10 grams (22-carat).
In Lucknow, 24-carat gold was sold at ₹1,01,330 per 10 grams, with 22-carat quoted at ₹92,900. Patna registered rates of ₹1,01,230 (24-carat) and ₹92,800 (22-carat), while Jaipur reported higher figures in line with Lucknow, at ₹1,01,330 and ₹92,900 respectively for 24-carat and 22-carat.
Similar trends were observed in other states. In the capitals of Karnataka, Telangana, and Odisha—Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar—24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,01,180 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹92,750.
