New Delhi, August 12 (HS): Gold and silver prices tumbled across the country’s bullion markets today, extending the recent downward trend. Gold became cheaper by ₹800 to ₹880 per 10 grams, while silver saw a steep fall of ₹2,000 per kilogram.
Market data shows that 24-carat gold is now trading between ₹1,01,400 and ₹1,01,550 per 10 grams in most major cities, while 22-carat gold is priced at ₹92,950 to ₹93,100 per 10 grams. The correction in silver rates has brought the glittering metal down to ₹1,15,000 per kilogram in the Delhi market.
City-wise Gold Prices (per 10 grams)
- Delhi: 24K – ₹1,01,550 | 22K – ₹93,100
- Mumbai: 24K – ₹1,01,400 | 22K – ₹92,950
- Ahmedabad: 24K – ₹1,01,450 | 22K – ₹93,000

- Lucknow & Jaipur: 24K – ₹1,01,550 | 22K – ₹93,100
- Patna: 24K – ₹1,01,450 | 22K – ₹93,000
Similar price declines were recorded in southern and eastern cities, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar, where 24-carat gold is trading at ₹1,01,400 and 22-carat gold at ₹92,950 per 10 grams.
Analysts attribute the slide to international price corrections, shifting investor sentiment, and a stronger US dollar, which have collectively exerted pressure on precious metals.
With the festive season still weeks away, traders say the current dip may encourage fresh buying from retail customers looking to take advantage of lower rates.
