Lucknow, 11 Aug
(HS): Speaking at the Monsoon session of the Assembly, Uttar Pradesh Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that the Samajwadi Party and Democracy are at
opposite ends of the river. When did
they begin to have trust in democracy? Talking about democracy does not appeal
to them. Everyone is aware of what they did in Sambhal. Whether in Sambhal,
Bahraich, or Gorakhpur, everyone is aware of SP's wrongdoing.
During their time
in office, they accomplished nothing. If
the NDA administration wishes to bring about progress, you (the Samajwadi
Party) must be disappointed.... We deal with traders from all around the
state. Traders were subjected to goonda
taxes during the SP rule. As a result,
the traders are upset with you, and the Samajwadi Party has to face the brunt
of it on several occasions.
Instead of taking
efforts to help traders, they (the Samajwadi Party) have simply made matters
worse. The Samajwadi Party cannot be expected to discuss security and promote
decent development.
