Noida, 11 Aug
(HS): Gautambuddh Nagar Police arrested a daycare worker in Noida after a supposed
video showed her abusing an infant girl and pounding her head against a wall,
with the toddler's mother citing bite marks on her thighs. The event is said to
have occurred on August 4 at BLIPEE Daycare in Sector 137, which is under the
jurisdiction of the Central Noida Sector 142 Police Station. On August 7,
police arrested the maid and filed a FIR under Sections 115(2) (voluntarily
inflicting harm), 352 (intentional insult intended at inciting a breach of
peace), and 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of the BNS Act 2023. The maid has
also been accused of beating the infant with a plastic bat and knocking her to
the ground.
According to the
FIR, the infant's mother stated that on August 4, when she picked up her
15-month-old daughter from BLIPEE daycare in Sector 137, which is part of
Sector 142 Police Station in central Noida, she saw she was weeping. I changed
her bottom, and I discovered marks on both of her thighs. I took her to the
doctor, who informed me the markings were from bites.
After that, I reviewed the daycare's CCTV tape and discovered that the maid,
who cared for the toddlers, had hit my daughter and dropped her on the floor.
She also struck my daughter with a plastic bat, smashed her head against the
wall, and bit her thighs, she explained.
The child's mother
claimed that when she reported about the event to the daycare manager, Charu,
and the maid, they both misbehaved and threatened her. My kid was beaten at the
daycare, and the head of the daycare did not come to soothe her, according to
the FIR.
Sector 142 Police Station SHO Vinod Kumar Mishr says, On August 7, a FIR was
filed against the attendant (16) and Charu, the head of BLIPEE day care, at the
Sector 142 Police Station. The suspected maid has been brought into police
custody, and an investigation is underway. The victim girl has been medically
evaluated, he said. The SHO further stated that after an investigation, it was
discovered that the maid had only been on duty for 10 days and that the baby
girl had been attending daycare for two and a half hours every day since May
21. According to the police officer, further legal action is being taken
following an inquiry into the aforementioned occurrence.
