Lucknow, 11 Aug

(HS): Mayawati, the head of the Bahujan Samaj Party, stated on Monday that the

doubts about voter lists and electoral record modification should

be resolved as quickly as possible. Mayawati made the statement in a post on X,

as the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Monsoon session began on Monday. Whatever

reservations exist in the country about voters, voter lists, their

modification, and EVMs, it would be preferable if such issues were cleared up

as quickly as possible, she stated on X. Mayawati said that the Monsoon session

should be used to address public welfare, regardless of political disputes. The

BSP head further stated that the US tariff issue should be handled at the

Monsoon session of Parliament. Mayawati stated that the monsoon session of the

UP Assembly, which begins today, should not be a mere formality despite its

small duration. She stated that it is vital to make it helpful in the interests

of the people, which will need both the government and the opposition to

sacrifice their political interests, animosity, and resentment, among other

things. Mayawati noticed disturbances in Parliament, claiming that it is unable

to perform as expected by the public. She stated that important concerns are

not being addressed seriously. The likelihood of a negative impact on the

country's economy and growth as a result of high US tariffs on Indian commerce

has been widely debated. This must be

given careful consideration, particularly in Parliament, because it is a

specific problem of national importance concerning the country's acche

din... Mayawati posted on X.
